Cullen has short, curly blond hair that he constantly attempts to keep tamed. He has similarly-colored eyes, warm and golden. He has a jagged scar on the right side of his upper lip. Cullen is often scruffy-faced with dark bags under his eyes from lyrium withdrawal. He's tall, standing about 6'1", with strong shoulders and a broad chest, and he carries himself like a soldier. He wears a furred overcoat, a chestplate, and vambraces bearing the emblem of the templars. He carries a sword on his hip, and in battle, wears a lion helmet. (It's a cute stupid helmet thx.) His clothes are a mix of reds and golds, but he's not an ostentacious dresser. Formerly, he wore a full suit of templar armor, but he abandoned the uniform when he left Kirkwall.
For as long as Cullen can remember, he wanted to help others. He idolized templars because he believed they were the ultimate symbol of service and protection, and he joined their ranks at eight. He lived much of his early life with an idealism that remained untainted until his first assignment ended in tragedy. (More later.)

lyrium addiction
Focusing on Cullen's withdrawals or a universe where the Inquisitor asks him to continue taking the lyrium, I'd love to explore the early struggles or later symptoms. Or potentially a scenario where he's caught and poisoned with red lyrium; exploring adverse effects or waiting for it to purge from his system could be interesting. Or a post-Inquisition AU where he goes AWOL because of the addiction. Insert sad cop here.
coping with kinloch hold
Preferably with a mage, another templar, or any Origins characters who would have been present at the Circle Tower for Broken Circle. Sharing nightmares, memories, or some Fade bullshit – let's go.
grey warden au
Maybe he gets recruited during the Fifth Blight? A templar instead of a mage? Maybe the Joining cures lyrium addiction idk.
